We’re looking for two mid-to-senior developers to join the Product team at Mediagenix Spain. These are fully remote positions, but limited to candidates based in Spain.
The team builds and maintains a suite of tools that help video-on-demand platforms (like streaming services and TV networks) plan, organize, and publish their programming. Think of it as the editorial calendar behind what viewers see on screen.
Your challenge
- As a Software Engineer, you join a cross-functional squad
made up of 3–4 backend developers, a frontend developer, and an
engineering manager. Together with the product manager and a team of
designers, you work on delivering new features, fixing bugs, and keeping
our application reliable and up to date.
Some challenges you might work on:
- Implementing a new filter in our Elasticsearch-powered search UI.
- Enhancing parts of our user interface using modern JavaScript (or frameworks like Stimulus or Vue).
- Breaking down a major feature into smaller, manageable tasks, with proper documentation and time estimates.
- Investigating and resolving performance issues in our Sidekiq workers.
- Writing clear, developer-friendly documentation for a new REST API endpoint.
You won’t be doing this alone, we’re a collaborative team that values ownership, quality, and learning.
Your interests and skills
- You have solid experience building digital products: websites, platforms, or apps.
- You’re comfortable with (or curious about) our stack: Ruby on Rails, Elasticsearch, MySQL, Vue.js, Hotwire... No real experience on this stack is needed!
- You believe in writing tests and understand their value in building reliable software.
- You’re empathetic, curious, and a clear communicator.
- You enjoy working independently but know when to ask for help or pair up.
- You’re organized, self-motivated, and care about your team’s success as much as your own.
Don’t
worry if you don’t meet every requirement! If you’re a fast learner
with the right attitude, we’d still love to hear from you.
Our offer
- Work from anywhere in Spain
with flexible schedules so that you can be there for the people you
love, avoid commuting every day, be a nomad, find the environment where
you’re most productive, and plan your day exactly how you like it.
- A salary between €45,000 and €60,000 annually, depending on your experience.
- A permanent contract, we believe in long-term relationships with our teammates.
- 23 vacation days per year, plus public holidays.
- Support for your professional growth: books, workshops, conferences...
- A kind, inclusive, and stable team where your best work can happen.
