About Us:
At Vantage, we're passionate about building a cloud cost transparency platform that helps enable everyone – from developers to enterprises – analyze, report, collaborate on and optimize their cloud infrastructure costs. Both our CEO (who is a repeat founder) and CTO are passionate about cloud infrastructure. Having worked together at DigitalOcean, they are taking their combined knowledge to build and scale the Vantage platform. About The Role:
Vantage is looking for software engineers to be the foundation to our data platform team. The data platform team is responsible for the system which warehouses all of the cost data which powers the core of the Vantage product.

What you’ll do:
  • Design, build, and maintain the data processing platform that integrates with eleven different infrastructure providers and processes billions of records per month
  • Design, build, and maintain the query and data infrastructure critical to the core of the Vantage product
  • Work directly with our founders and collaborate on feature discovery, ideation and delivery
 We're looking for someone who has:
  • A BA/BS degree and a strong technical background with 5+ years of working experience
  • Worked on a new product under fluid conditions, seamlessly balancing tactical and strategic considerations
  • Experience working with MPP databases such as Snowflake, Hive, Redshift, Clickhouse
  • Experience with big data technologies like Trino, Spark, Hadoop, Airflow, Kafka
  • Developed and tuned highly scalable distributed systems
  • Experience with reliability engineering specifically in areas such as data quality, data observability and incident management
 Bonus Points:
  • Monitoring and observability expertise
  • Experience building and deploying to cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
  • Relevant Data Visualization / financial product experience
