About us

I’m Thomas, co-founder of Vendis — an AI-native B2B CRM. We’re post-MVP, onboarding our first paying customers, and hiring employee #2.

My co-founder Sebastian and I are repeat founders/CTOs and active angel investors. We’ve been coding and shipping Rails since 2008 (Rails 2.1).

With Vendis, we’re modernizing CRM with natural inputs (voice/chat) and AI that drives data entry + admin to near-zero so sales teams can actually sell. The opportunity is massive: every company that sells anything eventually needs a CRM.

Stack

  • Rails 8 · Hotwire (low-JS) · ViewComponents · Tailwind 4 · AWS · DynamoDB · OpenSearch · Vector Databases · LLM APIs (greenfield, zero legacy).

What you’ll do

  • Design and scale a multi-tenant Rails app from day one.
  • Work across backend and product UI (Rails + Stimulus only, low-JS).
  • Keep the UI minimal — AI-magic over feature bloat.
  • Shape architecture, infra, and product with the founders; ship fast to prod.

What you’ve done

  • 5+ years shipping production-grade Rails.
  • Hands-on with at least one non-relational DB and OpenSearch/Elasticsearch.
  • Practical experience integrating AI/LLM/RAG + Tooling (e.g. Langfuse) and solid AWS tooling know-how.
  • You thrive in tiny, senior teams; high autonomy, high output.

Compensation

  • Base: €80k–€100k (DOE/location). We'll conduct a comp review after funding rounds (angel/VC) to re-benchmark early hires to market.
  • Equity: meaningful stock options (Delaware C-Corp).
