Who we are looking for

Senior developer, mostly back-end focused, but passion for front-end and UX is a huge plus. Needless to say, that we expect you to be enthusiastic about the latest things in AI and actively applying those during your daily work.

About us

The current stack is Ruby on Rails with Turbo, running on Heroku. Experience with RoR is not a hard requirement, some of our current colleagues also joined with strong backend skills and became fluent in Ruby after some ramp up time.

We are a cheerful small team, and we often don’t take ourselves too seriously, but we are very serious about things like real customer problem solving, technical excellence, user-centered design, being data driven, and having a real impact on business metrics.

Preferably you:

• are a senior individual contributor with at least 5 years of experience
• have experience in developing a product based on market and customer needs
• have experience in developing modern, scalable web applications
• enjoy taking a workflow from the physical world (eg. ordering or logistics) and translate it to a delightful digital experience, in most cases also making it smoother, with more added value
• can think holistically in end-to-end workflows
• are using Claude Code, ChatGPT Codex, Cursor or any similar tool during your daily work
• have experience and particularly enjoy developing complex interfaces with many forms, tables, and diagrams, and implementing the underlying business logic
• are someone with serious level of ownership and responsibility, and you are a humble but no-bs communicator
• someone who if needed has a well-formed cultured opinion about the product, aside the technical parts
• are someone who enjoys navigating the uncertain - you don’t depend on well-ironed processes, but not afraid to introduce something like it, when it makes our life easier

Any of these is a big plus, but not a hard requirement:

• experience with Ruby on Rails and Turbo
• experience with products that have AI-powered features, have worked with Anthropic or OpenAI APIs, or experimented with MCP
• experience in B2B marketplaces
• experience in delivering software solutions to any sub-segment of the TIC industry

Location

Most of our team is in Budapest, Hungary, 2nd district office. We are happy to meet in-person regularly (eg. for plannings, workshops, events, lunch), but a smooth remote cooperation works well too. Besides Hungary we have colleagues all over the EU, you can be one of them, and in that case facetime in Budapest every 3-6 months is a nice addition to what we offer.
