About the Role
As the second engineering hire, we are looking for someone who wants to get their hands dirty in all aspects of building a great product not just writing code. You will be reporting to the CTO and working together to build the ShareWillow product. You will work closely with both product and design teams to shape the product and determine the best way to deliver value to our customers. 

You will be hands on coding, documenting our decisions, communicating with customers, and constantly be working on the companies priority feature. You will be given ownership over the features you’re working on and be responsible for communicating changes in scope and timeline as you make progress. 

You will provide code reviews for other engineers, to identify better practices/patterns, potential bugs, edge cases, optimizations, and short cuts. You do shaping work with product and design.

About You
You care about the product and what value we are delivering to the customer. You recognize that it takes a team of diverse skills and opinions to build a great product. You want to be involved in how we make decisions as a company/team. You push back on your peers and superiors to stand up for what you believe is the right decision for the customer. You pushed to make changes in teams and companies you have worked at before. You are self driven. You want to work in person at our office in Union Square.
  • 5-8 years experience working on Ruby on Rails (or similar) applications
  • You’re curious about Hotwire (or have experience with it)
  • You enjoy writing tests and think about the sustainability of your code.
  • Excited about working at an early stage company
  • You’re proficient in frontend development, both CSS and JavaScript best practices
Nice to haves
  • You’ve worked in a regulated industry or with customer funds (account ledger systems)
  • You enjoy design and have thinking about the aesthetics of things
  • You have contributed to open source projects
Compensation
  • $130-$195 DOE
  • 0.5-0.95% equity
Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
