Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Ruby on Rails applications with an emphasis on clean, reliable, and maintainable code.
- Work collaboratively with product managers, designers, and fellow
engineers to build effective, user-focused healthcare solutions.
- Write tests and participate in code reviews to help uphold code quality and support team standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and performance issues in existing applications.
- Contribute to team knowledge-sharing and technical documentation, and actively seek feedback to improve your skills.
- Stay informed about new tools, frameworks, and development practices relevant to the Rails ecosystem.
- Participate fully in Agile workflows, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Requirements
- Must be located in the United States of America and be a U.S.
citizen or permanent resident with verified U.S. government issued ID.
- Proven experience as a Ruby on Rails developer, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- Experience with frontend technologies such as Hotwire, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integration with third-party services.
- Knowledge of database systems, particularly PostgreSQL.
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize applications for performance and scalability.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
